Zander had a very tough start to life. Let's just say that. He was shut away in a filthy home in his own fences and urine. He underwent emergency surgery to flush toxins out if his stomach !
Zander was frightened of everything. Other dogs, people, cares, windows.... You name it, this boy was scared of it.
We put him into intense training with Above and Beyond Dog training for nearly 5 months to rehabilitate the years of damage he suffered.
He is now a loving, playful, energetic boy ready for his new home. Zander will suit a home with another female dog he can play with, preferably equal to his size.
He LOVES puzzle mats, kongs and enrichment games. Playing with his toys keeps him one happy pup.
Zander had a VERY active brain meaning he needs a job to do. We scatter is food so that he works to get it to keep his mind busy.
He needs a home with no children and someone willing to commit to his enrichment or he will go backwards. He is not a good car traveler so not suited to someone wanting to drive him to new places all the time.
He is a great dog, highly intelligent and lovable, just now needs the right home to continue his growth and someone to continue to show him love and stimulation
